Race 2 Details

Date: Friday, January 16

Venue: Gemini (Mt Hood Meadows)

Discipline: GS

Athletes: Don't forget your HARD EAR RACE HELMET and GS SKIS, if you have them.

HEADS UP: We may not have all of the blueberries (start jackets) with us this weekend - we have at least a couple to use, but we'll need to keep them up at the start if this is the case, so plan to wear your pants and SMA jacket until we get close to your start.

  • Travel

    • Carpools will depart Portland Fri 1/9, Return to Portland Sat 1/10. Use carpool link from the weekly announcements. Carpools should plan to arrive to Meadows by 8am.

  • Race

    • Getting ready: We'll meet on the 2nd floor of the lodge where we'll have some tables for athletes to use to get dressed in the morning. Athletes should be headed outside at 8:45am to group up with coaches and get in line so we're headed up the lift at 9am.

    • Racing: We’ll race with a typical schedule - on the hill at 9, race starts at 10, lunch between first and second runs (it's a trek to/from the venue - bring something you can easily pack out with you if needed to be on time), then we should be done and off the hill between 2 and 3.

    • Start Order: The start order will be available on the league website: https://mthood.cascadetiming.com/public/races/race4/start-list/

    • The women's start list is below.

    • Live Timing: The links will be posted to the league website once/if available. They may not be available with limited service/wifi at the resort. https://mthoodleague.ski/

    • Meadows has good cell service. Keep an eye on Remind for any updates from coaches throughout the day.

  • Food

    • Athletes are responsible for their food. Highly recommend packing this with you in a cooler/lunch box that fits into your boot bag.
