Welcome to SMA Alpine Ski Team
The SMA Alpine Ski Team is a downhill ski team. Our season runs mid-November through the beginning of March, with a combination of conditioning, on snow training, and racing. All athletes are expected to train for racing at whatever skill level they currently find themselves. This site will be the main source of one way communication of pre-season and ski season information for parents, coaches, and athletes. Remind is used for communication between athletes, parents, and coaches.

About Us
Our Vision
We are dedicated to fostering a passion for skiing and racing among SMA students. With a focus on teamwork, skill development, and sportsmanship, we aim to provide a platform for young athletes to excel in alpine skiing.

What do we provide for athletes on our team?
Dryland Training
Our conditioning and training program is designed to prepare athletes for the challenges of competitive alpine skiing. We focus on strength, agility, and technique to ensure that all team members are ready to perform at their best.
On Snow Training
The on snow training sessions provide the opportunity for athletes to apply their skills in a real skiing environment. Coaches work closely with the team to refine techniques and tactics in and out of the race course.
Racing
Competing in racing is a key aspect of our team's experience. We participate in the Mt Hood League. We'll have 6 league races (3 slalom and 3 giant slalom) between Jan 1 and Feb 20, allowing athletes to test their abilities and showcase their progress throughout the season.
If the team or individuals qualify, we will travel to Hoodoo in March for the OISRA State Race, which includes a training day and 2 days of racing (1 slalom and 1 GS).
